Elders and deacons are elected by the congregation. The elders are responsible for the spiritual oversight of the congregation. The deacons are responsible for the ministry of mercy and aid to the needy, in the congregation and in the community. The elders and deacons meet on a regular basis to discuss the affairs of the congregation. The local pastor or visiting ministers will conduct the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.
